Tyler Kincaid

Head Baseball Coach

 

In August of 2018, Tyler Kincaid was named the Head Coach of the Blue Valley Southwest Baseball program. Coach Kincaid was hired prior to the 2019 spring season after spending the previous 16 years at the collegiate level, most recently with the University of San Diego and Kansas State University. Kincaid received both his bachelor’s (Kinesiology, 2001) and master’s (Secondary Education, 2005) degrees from San Francisco State University. He is married to the former Jennifer Vega, and the couple has two children, their son Grant and daughter Audrey.

Kansas State Coaching Achievements (Division I)

  • 3 – Pitchers selected in MLB amateur draft (Two in the first 10 rounds)
  • 1 – 1st Team All Big XII selection.
  • 1 – Big XII Tournament Appearance, 2016.
  • Parker Rigler tossed K-State’s first no-hitter since 1991, and ninth ever, on March 5, 2017.
  • In addition to the no hitter, the Wildcat pitching staff tossed three more shutouts in 2017, the most in a single season since 2008.
  • In 2016, the K-State pitching staff finished third in program history for total strikeouts in a single season with 440. And it was the first time since 2011 that two Wildcat pitchers had 70+ strikeouts.
  • The Wildcat pitchers averaged 7.9 K per 9 Inn in 2016 which was the best mark for the team since 1976.
  • The 2016 Team ERA was 8th best in program history.

Entering his second Season at BVSW, Coach Wade will be a varsity assistant in charge of catching and assisting with the offense.

Coaching experience: Rock Canyon High School – One year as the freshman coach and one year as a Varsity assistant.  Heritage High School – 2 years as a varsity assistant. During his 3 years as a varsity assistant, Coach Wade helped his teams finished in the top 5 in state.  Last year, I was slated to be the Sophomore coach at BVSW in 2020.

Playing experience: Played high school baseball in Colorado and attended Fort Hays State University. While at Fort Hays, played catcher and had occasional time in the outfield.

Scott is entering his first year as a baseball coach at BVSW.

Coach TJ Taylor is entering his 4th season with the BVSW baseball program.  He has been at BVSW since June 2019, coming aboard as a teacher in the PE department.  Taylor is also the head varsity girls basketball coach and an assistant football coach at BVSW.

Taylor completed his Master of Arts in Teaching, at Pittsburg State University (2019).  He did his student teaching with the Shawnee Mission School District, splitting his time with Belinder Elementary and Shawnee Mission West (SMW) High School.  Taylor also holds a Master of Arts in Sports Administration, at Wayne State University (2012), and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Coaching, at Grand Valley State University (2008).

Born and raised in Michigan, Taylor moved to Kansas City in 2013.  He was a four year letterwinner in both baseball and basketball, at Mattawan High School, from 2000-2004.  Taylor also spent time as an assistant baseball coach at his alma mater, Mattawan High School, from 2006-2007.

Taylor and his wife, Jenna, and their Golden Retriever, Piper, reside in Louisburg.
